The Brief
To create an impressive 389m2 teaching annexe for John Grant School. The school needed extra space to facility the needs of the children. The Qube provided a brilliant space where individuals with additional and complex needs are welcomed and understood.
This teaching annexe consists of.
- 2 x classrooms
- Wellbeing spaces
- ‘Safe space room’
- Office areas
- One to One spaces
- Store and plant rooms
- Toilets and a changing places facility.
The Solution
The location of the build area enabled us to fence off the area to comply with our strict Health and Safety compliance and give back playground space safely once specific milestones were achieved. Because of where this teaching annexe is situated, there is space for future expansion if required.
The Outcome
This modern, spacious and energy-efficient classroom block took just 20 weeks to complete which was on time and to budget, the time saved, reduce disruption to school significantly. This brand new space can now be enjoyed by both the students and teachers.
