The Brief
With the school wanting to incorporate a nursery facility to the academies trust, and with the government introducing new measures and policies, there was a demand to provide a new stand-alone nursery build to allow the admissions to be taught in a brand-new facility.

The Solution
The Qube were approached by the school’s management company to undertake a site visit to meet with the Headteacher and Operations Manager, with the aim of putting together a proposal for the schools’ new stand-alone modular nursery. During the site visit the Qube assessed the school’s current layout and proposed the location of the build to be in an area of neglected playing field. Furthermore, the Qube designed a building which ticked all the criteria when it came to meeting the clients’ exact needs. The location of the build area enabled us to use the existing palisade safety fencing, to fence off the construction area from the schools pick up and collection points, this enabled unrestricted working throughout the school day to push on the programme and hand over a start of the art modular facility in record time.
The Outcome
Ian Anderson, Site Manager, Prince Avenue Nursery and Academy
‘The Qube were very professional from the enquiry stage through to handover, they brought value and honesty to the process during the pre-construction phase. Their team are very knowledgeable and their capabilities in managing and keeping communication channels open relating to all aspects of the construction phase we, as a school, found very beneficial. We would definitely recommend using The Qube, and we hope to use the Qube again on any future builds.’
