Our Carbon Reduction Plan

Sustainability is no longer a future ambition—it’s something we need to act on today!
Tackling climate change requires clear action and shared commitment. Our Carbon Reduction Plan represents an important step on our journey towards a more sustainable and responsible future. By understanding our emissions and identifying opportunities to reduce them, we can make lasting changes that benefit both our organisation and the environment.
This plan sets out how we will measure our carbon footprint, reduce emissions, and make more sustainable choices across our operations. We give an overview of what the plan means, why it matters, and how we can all play a part in creating a lower-carbon future in the link below.

The Modular Building Misconception Everyone Is Still Making.
Across the UK, modular construction continues to divide opinion.
Some estates teams see modular buildings as the future of faster, more predictable delivery. Others approach the subject with caution, shaped by past experience that did not deliver what was promised.
What often gets missed in these discussions is a simple but critical point:
Not all modular buildings are the same.
At The Qube, we see this misunderstanding delay decisions, limit design options and create unnecessary risk on projects that need flexibility and long-term performance.
When decision makers hesitate around modular buildings, it is rarely theoretical. It usually comes from lived experience on real projects.
Common concerns include:
- Modular buildings feeling temporary despite being intended as permanent
- Layouts that could not adapt as needs changed
- Key decisions being locked in too early
- Performance issues emerging after handover
- A sense that once modules arrived on site, options were limited

MPBA National Conference 2026

Staying connected with industry developments is key to delivering innovative and effective solutions. Qube’s Design Manager, Niki, recently represented the company at an event hosted by the MPBA, where professionals from across the modular and offsite construction sector came together to share insights, discuss emerging trends, and explore the future of modern construction methods.
Niki said..
“There were engaging speaker panels with opportunities to ask questions, along with a wide range of exhibition stands showcasing innovative products and systems designed to improve building efficiency. And of course, the fantastic lunch was very welcome. Overall, it was highly educational and provided a great platform to share ideas, voice perspectives, and be part of the wider conversation within the industry”
Qube Celebrate Northampton School for Boys’ Historic Journey to Twickenham

For Qube, the rise of Northampton School for Boys (NSB) Rugby is more than just a sporting story, it is a journey that is closely connected to the company’s own community and people.
As a long-term supporter of NSB rugby, Qube have watched the programme grow from its early breakthrough moment in 2013, when Jack Spittle captained the Northampton School for Boys 1st XV to the school’s first ever National Schools Cup Final.
That moment marked a turning point for the programme and remains a hugely significant memory for the Qube family. The Qube has long been a proud supporter of both the school and its rugby programme. Seeing the school return to the national stage more than a decade later makes this moment particularly special for the company.
This year, Northampton School for Boys have produced one of the most extraordinary seasons ever seen in schoolboy rugby, with the 1st XV now preparing to play at Allianz Stadium, Twickenham for the National Schools Cup Final, the pinnacle of school rugby in England.
For Qube, however, the journey carries a deeper connection.
To see the programme that Jack Spittle once captained to its first national final now return to the biggest stage in school rugby is incredibly meaningful. It reflects the growth of the school, the strength of the rugby culture that has been built, and the importance of long-standing community partnerships.
As the team prepares to run out at Allianz Stadium, Twickenham, the opportunity is now there to create the most historic moment in the school’s rugby history.
For Qube, it is a moment of enormous pride — not only as a sponsor, but as a company with genuine ties to the journey of Northampton School for Boys rugby.
The school will step onto the field at Twickenham with the chance to turn that journey into history by lifting the Continental Tyres U18 National Schools Cup.
